Halifax Harbour Bridges joins with Nova Scotians, Canadians and citizens of the world to mourn the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Our flags are at half-mast at our toll plazas and we will be flying two Canadian flags from the towers of the Macdonald Bridge to honour and celebrate the accomplishments of the 96-year-old sovereign.
Taking the throne on Feb. 6, 1952, the queen ruled for more the 70 years and was the second-longest reigning monarch in world history.
